It can be said that Independent films are more closely related to an entrepreneurial spirit and attitude than that of a genre of filmmaking. Independent films come to life on the screen as documentaries and narrative features, dramas and comedies, fantasies and adventures. There is a common element found inside each independent film, which could be why it's often referred to as a genre. It's something that resonates from the screen and, to its audience, it is identifiable by the impression we are left with after seeing one.
To the filmmaker, it is a determination to protect and preserve the creative ideas and to create a process by which the original vision is fully realized and alive on the screen. Laugh, cry, or scream, when you see a good independent film you know it.
With the opportunity to make independent films comes the responsibility to not only make them good, but to make them well.
With this principal belief Read Entertainment was formed. We are here to nurture the development of creative ideas and to bring them to life with a spirited process which will entertain audiences of all ages and interests.
