Read Entertainment Signs Up to Produce Seeta's Demon

Read Entertainment has signed on to produce the film Shilpa Sunthankar's first feature film, SEETA'S DEMON.
The script has already garnered some acclaim by winning first place in the Wildsound Screenplay Festival in Toronto. It was a finalist at the 2008 Visionfest Screenplay Competition at Tribeca, and was under consideration for the 2009 Sundance Film Labs.
Producer Ryan Crisman of Read Entertainment had this to say, “Vengeance thrillers are not a genre that I seek out as a producer but Shilpa’s script really grabbed me. I found myself thinking about it long after having read it. The script offers us a window into our own fears through its characters, facing very dark circumstances while culturally clashing with each other. There is this wonderful thread of Hindu Mythology elegantly, yet subtly painted throughout. It’s a really smart script."
